Echoes - Pink Floyd - Piano part through Leslie speaker Video
I persuaded a friend (who wishes to remain anonymous) to play his nice, new, shiny Steinway Model B grand piano through his nice, old, not-so-shiny Leslie 145/ 147 amp/ speaker. I recorded the result. Apologies for my camera work! Post production by Reverend Flatus.

Ah! Thank you!
Martin and I did perform this on several occasions in our Pink Floyd tribute band "Sheep"? back in the latter 1990s. We were (and still are) old school buddies and I still have an old cassette of him and me doing a practise run of this from 1985 in our school hall!
When I find the video tapes of the complete versions of Echoes we did in 1995/ 1996 with the full band, I'll upload them!
Martin is a fantastic pianist and keyboardist!

@nickhirst999 Very nice. I would like to take this time to congragulate your maestro friend in performing such an amazing tribute to Richard Wright.? He would be proud to see people today still playing his ispirational piano work at such a talented level...and through a Leslie at that! Good going fellas. I think you sould play along to the actual recorded track off of Meddle, and play the whole thing, please? I want to hear the whole song played by your friend, and I don't think I speak alone.

Its because richard wright invented this way of recording the piano? when echoes was recorded. This is precisely the way the did it (as far i know) the leslie speaker creates the doppler effect.
